La face cachée de l’innovation : 11èmes Journées du Groupe Thématique Innovation de l’AIMS
CALL FOR PAPERS (in French)

Pollution, overconsumption, exclusion, substitution of man for machine, generalized surveillance, the disappearance of skills, frustration, failure…Even if, in the collective imagination (political, academic, civil), innovation is often associated with the idea of progress, examples to the contrary are multiplying and alerting the world to the dangers to the previously positive and enthusiastic approach to this phenomenon.

The 11th edition of the Days of the Innovation Thematic Group of AIMS is aimed at examining and deconstructing the “totem” of innovation to reveal its darker side and associated taboos, question what lies beneath its apparent reification and bring the overlooked and the underestimated repercussions into the light.

The work that will be presented during these Days could focus on or around the follow themes (even if they do not constitute in any way an exhaustive list of the subjects that could be presented):
  • The downward spirals of innovation
  • Lobbying and innovation
  • The measures of innovation : limits, dangers, performativity, renewal
  • Processes and practices of innovation in informal organizations
  • Tradition and innovation
  • Memory, oversight and novelties
  • Innovation, morals and ethics
  • Failure and innovation
  • Open innovation or open war ?
  • In the secret(s) of innovation

Submissions for communication proposals (an extended abstract of 2500 words) are to be sent before the 31st October 2020.
